They also have access to a team of vascular surgeons specialising in vascular disease management. The team has expertise in all aspects of cardiovascular disease care, from outpatient consultation, diagnosis, and screening to complex vascular and cardiology operations.

The referral process is simple and quick and outpatients can see physicians in the 'Regent's Park Suite' with diagnostic tests often performed during the first appointment. Patients requiring cardiac catheter laboratory investigations will also have their pre-admittance checks carried out on the same day to avoid extra visits. Patients who require this procedure will have access to their own private ensuite room with a television, internet, direct telephone lines, quality bed linen, and a menu selection of food and drink. Additionally, each room has cardiac telemetry to ensure 24-hour-a-day remote cardiac monitoring.

I had a very friendly greeting, didn’t need to wait as I was seen on time and had a lovely consultation. My carport ticket was stamped so I received free parking which was a nice bonus.

The young lady who undertook my ECG was very experienced and helpful. On what was my first consultation with Dr Mellor, I found him courteous, patient and reassuring. I have been attending the Heart Clinic for many years and have always found the receptionists very welcoming.

It was more difficult to get an appointment than I was lead to believe by the website. It proudly proclaims the average wait time for consultations is 3 days -- it was not. When I filled out the online contact form, it said that I would be contacted within 16 hours. I was not. I had to follow up by phoning up twice- not once was I called. I have had my consultation, and I am still waiting for the results to be sent to my GP. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, it just seems like they are quite short-staffed, and that means that things like admin slip through the cracks, which makes it feel like a bit of an uphill battle to actually get an appointment. I would kind of understand, as this has been my general experience with the NHS, but this is my first time really going to a private clinic and I was a bit disappointed? I guess I kind of expected a bit more "customer service", as I guess I kind of thought that was supposed to be part of what you are paying for? So yeah, like, really good staff, and everything went smoothly once I finally got an appointment and got to the clinic, but a bit disappointing overall?
