Peninsula Heart Clinic is home to a team of expert consultant cardiologists from University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. All consultants have several years of experience, each with specialist expertise in various areas of cardiology. The multidisciplinary team of consultants are supported by their excellent clinical support team. Peninsula Heart Clinic sees patients with a broad range of heart conditions, including the following:

I was admitted for cardio version. Warm reception by the clinical team and seen promptly by the anaesthetist and cardiologist. Full plantations and ensured that I was comfortable and confident in their approach. Excellent post treatment by nurse.

A friendly welcome, very short wait time although I was slightly early. A bit suprised that the ECG was so quick- a minute or two at the most- seemed a bit expensive for the amount of time! The consultation was good and adice given. Overall very happy with my visit to Peninsula Heart.

I first met Dr Haywood 27 years ago and since that time have attended numerous consultations for an ongoing heart condition. On this occasion my wife, who has recently experienced cardiac issues, joined us. Having this continuity is invaluable. His knowledge is unquestionable but what is particularly important is the way manner he patiently and understandingly explains queries and symptoms to patients. Long may he continue to practise.
