The BrainWave Clinic, located on Harley Street in London, is a leading centre for the treatment of chronic pain conditions, including fibromyalgia, symptomatic hypermobility (hEDS/HSD) and neuropathic pain. Under the leadership of Dr Stephanie Kaye-Barrett, a highly experienced rheumatologist with over 20 years of consultant-grade expertise, the clinic provides innovative therapies designed to address the underlying causes of these complex conditions.
At the heart of the clinic’s approach is the BrainWave Protocol, a non-invasive therapy that utilises gentle electromagnetic pulses to stimulate the nervous system. This treatment works by desensitising pain processing networks in the brain and body, effectively reducing pain at its source. In addition to this, the clinic offers advanced functional supplements to correct key mineral and nutrient deficiencies, further supporting long-term recovery and optimal physiological function.
The clinic’s success is reflected in its outstanding patient outcomes, with over 93% of individuals experiencing significant improvements in their symptoms and more than 40% achieving full remission. Many patients find they can reduce or completely stop taking medications following treatment, leading to a marked improvement in their quality of life.
The BrainWave Clinic is home to a multidisciplinary team of specialists in rheumatology, osteopathy, and magnetic stimulation therapy, ensuring that every patient receives a tailored, holistic treatment plan. Their expertise extends beyond fibromyalgia and EDS to include the management of muscle injuries, soft tissue pain, lower back pain, neck and shoulder pain, nerve pain, sciatica, and various neuropathies. The clinic’s patient-centred approach not only focuses on symptom relief but also works towards restoring overall well-being, allowing patients to regain control over their lives free from chronic pain.

Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Felt safe doing a new treatment, and looked after
Always so very kind & understanding very many thanks Sally B.
What a relief to see Dr Barrett. After years of extensive, complex health issues and being completely dismissed, disbelieved and gaslit by medical professionals, my daughter finally has a confirmed diagnosis of hEDS, along with answers and an understanding of her symptoms and a thorough treatment plan to begin tackling some of these issues (the worst one being severe, chronic pain ). It’s early on in her health journey with Dr Barrett, but so far, we are extremely impressed with both Dr Barrett and her secretaries who have supported us in making appointments for consultations and treatments, along with answering all our questions and being clear and upfront about fees; how much and when this is expected to be paid, which is very important to us as we are self funding. Dr Barrett has offered something very valuable : hope. The hope and reassurance that there IS treatment that can help my daughter and improve her quality of life.
Very happy with the treatment and consultation. I feel very informed and dr barrrett kaye took the time to ensure I felt informed during the consultation. Highly recommend for anyone suffering with hypermobility.
Dr Barrett is very understanding and patient. She listens which is rare in doctors.
Dr Barrett is the first doctor who listened to me, believed me and has helped me. She I truly the best.
A really wonderful experience, everyone was really friendly and I felt they genuinely cared about helping me.
Dr Stephanie Barrett is always a pleasure to see. She is incredibly thorough and always has an explanation for every symptom. I can always rely on Dr. Barrett to help deem the right course of action for my symptoms.
Been seeing Dr Barrett for five years and she is great!
