About Mr Anand Muddaiah
Dr Anand Muddaiah currently serves as an ENT Consultant at the Countess of Chester Hospital, specialising in Paediatric ENT and Otology. Additionally, he holds the role of governance lead and heads the BCHI (bone conduction hearing implants) service at the Countess. With an extensive career spanning over 20 years in ENT, he has garnered significant experience and expertise, having performed numerous surgeries with outstanding outcomes.
Dr Muddaiah obtained his initial and specialist training in India in 2003 and fulfilled his specialist training requirements in the northern deanery in England in 2013. Further enhancing his skills, he completed Paediatric ENT training at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow, in 2014, subsequently transitioning to his role as a consultant.
In his practice, Dr Muddaiah addresses a wide range of general ENT conditions in both adults and children. His proficiency extends to the treatment of ear conditions such as hearing loss, outer ear infections, impacted ear wax, perforated eardrum, middle ear infections, tinnitus, dizziness, and serious mastoid disease. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Muddaiah is actively involved in teaching on courses recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons courses. He has also contributed to the educational initiatives of the Royal College of General Practitioners over the last five years, receiving excellent feedback for his teaching contributions.

Mr Muddaiah was absolutely superb. He quickly diagnosed the problem and put in place treatment and follow-up tests. I was cured, just as he said I would be. He has given me my life back, and all with a gentle humour and great kindness. The phrase "thank you" is woefully inadequate.
I am completing this after my ear surgery with Mr muddaiah, he saw me with this ongoing ear infections and he told me about the hole in my ear drum and I was getting so many infections because of it. Also my hearing was down. The surgery was just a quick in and out on the same day and he was so amazing it was obviously an expert at this. now that i have seen him after my recovery and the drum is all healed and i can hear better, i am so pleased with everything. I can’t thank him enough for the care.

He was very patient and listened to all my concerns about my ears and explained the treatment options clearly and helped me choose the option best suited for me. I felt so reassured about the whole thing, always felt i was in reliable and safe hands. I have been having these problems for a while and this is the first person i have seen who has actually explained everything in such detail and simple terms.
