About Chris Coldicott

Chris Coldicott is a physiotherapist currently practicing at PureSport Medicine, Moorgate Clinic. He graduated from the University of Brighton with a BSc in Sport Science and later an MSc in Rehabilitation Science (Physiotherapy) in 2016.

Chris has extensive experience within musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy, having worked across both NHS and private healthcare settings, including Medway NHS Foundation Trust, Broomfield Hospital, Springfield Hospital, and Provide Health. His time in clinical and leadership roles from Senior MSK Physiotherapist to Service Lead, has strengthened his expertise in complex case management, clinical reasoning, and collaborative care.

Specialising in shoulder and elbow rehabilitation, with a particular focus on shoulder instability and rotator cuff related shoulder pain, Chris takes a patient-centred approach to treatment. He believes in understanding what truly matters to each individual, ensuring their rehabilitation journey is tailored, effective, and sustainable. Alongside his clinical practice, he is completing an MSc in Advanced Musculoskeletal Assessment and Practice, with his dissertation exploring rotator cuff-related shoulder pain.

Beyond physiotherapy, Chris enjoys playing cricket, watching rugby, and staying active in the gym. Outside of work and sport, he enjoys family life, which keeps him equally challenged and fulfilled.

I had a great experience with Chris Colidcott helping with my recovery the past couple of months following a broken arm. He was methodical and took the time to explain what progress would look like and the timelines for it. Having clear goals and encouragement was very helpful for me apart from the technical aspects of the recovery which Chris was obviously very knowledgeable about.

I went to see Chris Coldecott at Pure Sports Medicine for ongoing hip pain, and the experience over the past few months has genuinely been excellent. One of the first things I appreciated about Chris was how easy he was to talk to. He takes the time to get to know you as a person and really listens to the small details you mention. For example, I casually mentioned that I’d never really been able to cross my legs properly, even from a young age, and that immediately sparked a line of thinking for him around whether there could be a deeper musculoskeletal issue involved. Chris arranged an MRI, which helped give a much clearer understanding of what was going on and allowed him to tailor a treatment plan specifically to me rather than taking a one size fits all approach. At every appointment, he’s been incredibly friendly, professional, and accommodating. The exercises he gave me always felt manageable and practical, and he adjusted things whenever needed based on how my recovery was progressing. He was also very flexible whenever I needed to move appointments around. Beyond the clinical side, Chris is just a genuinely nice person who clearly cares about his patients’ wellbeing. He remembers details from previous conversations, both personal and recovery related, which makes you feel listened to and supported throughout the process. I’d highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for a physiotherapist who combines real expertise with a genuinely personal approach.

Chris was fantastic throughout my recovery. He’s incredibly friendly and immediately made me feel comfortable, which made the whole physio process much easier. He took the time to understand my injury and put together a clear plan that helped me safely build back up to playing sport again. Thanks to his support, advice, and encouragement, I was able to return to sport feeling confident and strong. I’d highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and genuinely supportive physio.

In my previous answer, I outlined a glowing assessment of Chris's professionalism, his friendly and warm nature, and his focus on solving the issue. Please refer to that answer for more details, but suffice to say that Chris is an excellent physio who is an absolute credit to your practice.

Chris took the time to understand my injury, assess the situation and work through some exercises with me. I felt he cared about getting me back to full fitness as soon as possible.
