About Mr Dominic Sprott

Mr Dominic Sprott is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon based at Ramsay Oaklands Hospital and Salford Royal Hospital. He specialises in Limb Reconstruction and Lower Limb surgery, focusing mainly on knee and foot and ankle surgery, including complex foot reconstruction.

Mr Sprott gained his MBBS in 1999 from the University of the West Indies before undergoing junior doctor training. In 2002 he began an orthopaedic research fellowship in Ohio, USA, before moving to the UK to undertake basic surgical training and then specialist orthopaedic training with the Mersey Deanery. On completion of training he further specialised in Limb Reconstruction with a focus on complex Foot & Ankle reconstruction for both major  trauma and Congenital deformities. He also completed a fellowship in knee surgery. Mr Sprott was then appointed as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Salford Royal FT Hospital in 2014.

He runs a very busy practise, and his ethos centers on his belief 'that independant, pain-free mobility is a major factor determnining quality of life' and strives to achieve this for his patients.

Mr Sprott is a member of the British Limb Reconstruction Society (BLRS) and the British Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS).

I recently had a Morton’s neuroma surgery and was treated by Dr Sprott, who provided brilliant care. He was very clear about my options prior to surgery and ensured we tried everything before resorting to it. I did have to go ahead with the surgery but I felt well supported and in great hands going into it.

Mr Sprott has now carried out three procedures on my feet altogether. He explains everything he is going to do very clearly and he puts me at ease with regard to worrying about things. Overall I would definitely say he’s very good and someone you should consider asking for if you need surgery

I have been under the care of Mr Sprott and his team for many months and am extremely grateful for all they have done. My leg required major reconstruction and I am now able to walk and mobilise normally after an accident that resulted in multiple fractures. Mr Sprott is an excellent surgeon and very patient focussed, he always has time for his patients and demonstrates compassion and care.

Mr Sprott is an amazing doctor very professional and explained every step of my process for my knee. I don't like having procedures but he was very kind and reassuring on what would be happening every step of the procedures I was having. Since having my procedure I am alot better and can do things I couldn't do previously. This is all down to Mr Sprott and I can't thank him enough for giving me my independence back with movement and being able to redo my physical activities which I had to stop previously.
