A credit to the profession, Dr Barnes is an empathetic, thorough and patient Consultant Physician. I have known him for quite a few years and he has never changed. He listens and then communicates with ease, offering clear guidance. Moreover, he always makes me feel that I am in safe hands..

Dr Barnes took the time to listen and was very very thorough in the consultation.

Dr Barnes has always been an outstanding doctor who is friendly and puts you at your ease really listens to his patients and goes above and beyond if you require his help.

I enjoyed a very pleasant and thorough, although a little inconclusive, consultation with Dr. Barnes. However, this was partially due to the difficulty in obtaining up to date information from my local surgery. This will now be rectified by further tests at the Nuffield Hospital in Tunbridge Wells. Dr Barnes explained the situation with the condition I have in a very professional and caring way and gave me adequate time to ask any further questions about the possible processes involved in achieving a probable cure.

I recently visited Dr Barnes at the Nuffield Hospital. Dr Barnes had been my consultant via the NHS for 25 years ( from when I was a young teen until his retirement when I was 40). My care during that time was absolutely second to none, with him always going above and beyond. During the 5 years since his retirement I have unfortunately suffered some debilitating health problems alongside my Thyroid health deteriorating, which are now at the point of needing some extra attention. This has led me back to Dr Barnes for his expertise, kind, caring and professional nature. His ability to look at me as a whole person is invaluable, and again the care and expertise I received in my recent appointment was as it always was - still second to none. I have a long way to go with all my other health problems but knowing I have once again got Dr Barnes helping me is very reassuring, having a consultant that knows you and you trust makes the world of difference. The adjustments made to my medication are already showing an improvement in my symptoms, and I am positive they will continue to do so over the following weeks. I was thrilled to speak to Nancy who has been Dr Barnes Secretary for many many years and she remembered me immediately, which was reassuring. I Highly recommend Dr Barnes, to any new or existing patients.

I unfortunately was late for my appointment but Dr Barnes was most accommodating and proceeded to discuss what he thought was a strange set of circumstances. Based on information he had received. He was helpful given the time he had at his disposal.

Dr Barnes has been incredibly helpful, from my initial DKA episode right through to my diagnosis and plans going forward. He had clearly read and studied my medical history beforehand, spent a long time explaining everything thoroughly and I felt all my questions were answered. A truly kind doctor who goes well above and beyond - I would highly recommend Dr Barnes to any patient.

I have found Dr Barnes to be an excellent physcian. His knowledge and experience of the thyroid and replacement medication, has benefited me enormously. He listened fully to the problems I was having. I trialled a combination therapy of T4 and T3, which has improved my energy levels and decreased my blood pressure. I feel that Dr Barnes really cares about his patient. An extrememly kind man who is very thorough with his diagnosis and he is unstinting in his care.
