Professor Melvin Lobo presents as professional, caring, and understanding in patient interactions. He listened to concerns and demonstrated deep knowledge, offering clear diagnoses and effective treatment plans for complex conditions. Patients felt validated and hopeful regarding dysautonomia, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and mast cell activation syndrome, given his thorough approach to symptom resolution. His expertise is notable across his work with hypertension, dysautonomia, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, and autonomic disorders.
Thought the confidence was really reassuring and he is clearly a global expert on this topic. I was later that day quite anxious about the recovery timeline and the blood draw immediately after our appointment seems to have triggered a big fatigue response which I was not expecting. This exacerbated the anxiety and I couldn’t remember what we discussed in enough. That being said I found his level of detail very good, explanations clear at the time and he is probably one of the best doctors I have seen in a while.
Dr Lobo was extremely professional and helpful. I came out feeling positive about my condition for the first time with clear next steps.
I recently saw Professor Lobo for a consultation and I was extremely impressed by the outcome of my visit. Professor Lobo was very interested to know all about my medical history as well as my current symptoms and did not try to rush me. After being sent home with a 24 hour monitor he explained the results fully during our second appointment and suggested a plan of action that he thought would relieve my symptoms. After taking the newly prescribed medication for a few days I began to feel so much better. Professor Lobo has written to my GP outlining my new treatment plan and after months of feeling extremely poorly I now feel really well again. I would therefore highly recommend Professor Lobo.
Always a pleasure to be seen by Professor Lobo who is very clear and reassuring in his advice.
Excellent experience, both admin and professional services. Thank you.
The fact that I have given Professor Lobo five stars yet he consults a large proportion of undiagnosed, unsuccessfully treated and by nature complex ‘head scratcher’ patients is testament to his experience, open mindedness, ability to engage and distil down +/- connect collections of symptoms. He made me feel I could only tell him too little, not too much and above all, hopeful. He respected my self pay status and didn’t test indiscriminately. I came out with a treatment plan which will be tweaked according to response.
Professor Lobo was very knowledgeable during the initial appointment and he took time to understand my medical history in full. I was made to feel comfortable during this appointment and felt very uplifted with a new hopeful treatment plan when leaving.
I would rate my recent visit to see Professor De Lobo as 5/5. I was given time to explain my concerns and Professor De Lobo’s explanations were very clear. I feel reassured that I now have a plan in place to treat the issue.
Thank you so much for helping me! I can't wait to feel better soon.

Respiratory DoctorMel Lobo is very highly regarded by his colleagues. A patient of his in common with me last week described him as a magician. In this case he was! We have any patients in common and this is a common theme!
