About Dr Ernie Wong
Dr. Ernie Wong is a Consultant Respiratory Physician. He specialises in asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), respiratory infections, cough and breathlessness.
His NHS practise is based at St Mary's and Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, where he is the clinical lead for asthma.
He is the asthma lead for the London Respiratory Clinical Network. Dr. Wong is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.
Dr. Wong holds a PhD on the role of the airway microbiome in asthma exacerbation. He is actively involved in various research collaborations, such as exploring the use of an AI chatbot to optimise asthma control, studying the impact of air pollution on asthma, and researching the role of hormones in asthma.
In addition to his research work, Dr. Wong has expertise in a wide range of respiratory and medical conditions, including COVID and post-COVID cases.
