Dr. Brindley earned his medical degree (MBBS) and a BSc from University College London, and completed specialist training in gastroenterology and hepatology across several centres of excellence in London. He also holds a PhD, which focused on the immunology of fatty liver disease, reflecting his specialist interest in liver medicine and obesity-related liver disease. He continues to contribute to research as a principal investigator and is involved in medical education as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Barts Liver Centre, Queen Mary University of London.

He provides diagnosis and management of a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions,  including fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, autoimmune liver diseases, viral hepatitis, alcohol-related liver disease,  indigestion, bloating, diarrhoea, gallbladder disease, coeliac disease, pancreatitis, and bile duct disorders. He performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, endoscopic polypectomy, and FibroScan.
