About Dr. Katie Woon Sam
Dr Katie Woon Sam has a special interest in paediatric and special needs dentistry and treating those patients who may be anxious about visiting the dentist.
She gained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2016 from the University of Sheffield. Since then, she has gained experience in the community dental services and in oral and maxillofacial surgery. She joined Pearls Dental in 2021.
Dr Woon Sam has also completed the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS RCS Ed) examinations and is accredited with the Intercollegiate Advisory Committee for Sedation in Dentistry (IACSD) for inhalation sedation. In 2018, she was awarded the West Midlands Deanery Prize for her quality improvement project on children's general anaesthetics in dentistry. She also holds post graduate certification in health and social care education.
