Dr Manvi Sobti

Ms Manvi Sobti is a Consultant Ophthalmologist practising at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Her private practice is based at The Real Clinic, Chase Lodge Hospital and the Lipomacyst Clinic. She specialises in oculoplastic and cataract surgery and has over 15 years of experience in ophthalmology.

She completed her ophthalmology training in Mumbai, India, and at multiple centres in Scotland. Her oculoplastics fellowships were undertaken at the Scottish Ocular Oncology Centre in Glasgow, focusing on eyelid, lacrimal and orbital surgery and ocular oncology, and at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, specialising in reconstructive surgery for cancers, neurofibromatosis, burns and Steven Johnson Syndrome. She also completed a fellowship in medical and surgical retina at Whipps Cross Hospital in London.

Ms Sobti provides specialist care for a wide range of conditions, including cataracts, ptosis, dermatochalasis, brow ptosis, lid malpositions, skin cancers of the eyelid, eyelid burns, eyelid lesions, watery eyes and thyroid eye disease. She has extensive experience in managing ocular trauma and is a highly competent general ophthalmologist.

In her NHS role, she leads the Thyroid Eye Disease Service at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, working closely with endocrinologists. She is also a core member of the craniofacial team, managing complex oculofacial trauma and neurofibromatosis, and collaborates with burns plastic surgeons and dermatologists to provide multidisciplinary care.

Ms Sobti is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society.
