Mr Mazhar Sheikh

Mr. Mazhar Sheikh is a highly experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon, specialising in a wide range of endo-urological procedures. With a medical degree from the prestigious Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan, in 1997, Mr. Sheikh undertook his specialist urological surgical training in leading tertiary care centres in Ireland and England. He achieved his FRCS (Urol) in 2014 and completed a clinical fellowship in laparoscopic urology in 2016.

Mr. Sheikh provides comprehensive care to both male and female patients, with specific expertise in diagnosing and managing kidney stones, including laser treatments and lithotripsy. His clinical focus extends to treating male urinary and prostate issues, bladder dysfunction, and a variety of urological cancers such as prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers. He also runs a One Stop Haematuria Clinic for the assessment of blood in urine, manages urinary tract infections, and addresses erectile dysfunction and male infertility. Additionally, Mr. Sheikh performs inguino and peno-scrotal surgeries, including circumcision, vasectomy, and hydrocele repair.

An active educator, Mr. Sheikh teaches medical students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and serves on the faculty of the BAUS FRCS (Urol) revision course. He is also an honorary visiting faculty member at Dow University of Health Sciences and Dundee Institute for Healthcare Simulation. Beyond his clinical and educational contributions, Mr. Sheikh serves as General Secretary of DOGANE, a UK charity that supports medical alumni in providing educational and charitable services.
