I recently visited Mr Beckley for further investigation into my recent problems after a water infection, my first appointment was excellent, I got the information I needed with a clear explanation and further treatment plan provided.

The purpose of the visit was a PVR Test. When I arrived the consultant said it wasn’t something he did and would have to refer me. He then said he could do a bladder scan but it was very rushed and not the test my physiotherapist had requested.

I am very sorry that your visit didn’t meet your expectations. I hadn’t received any information from your physiotherapist beforehand; had I known, I would have clarified that my service focuses on specialist treatment consultations rather than isolated diagnostic tests. I’m glad our outpatient team was able to step in and perform a bladder scan for you. This provides exactly the same information as a PVR and the results have been sent your way.

Mr Beckley was very approachable, kind and clear. My only problem was that I had to travel quite a way to see him which makes further meetings and procedures a little difficult, however that is no reflection on Mr Beckley.

I was seen not only on time, but a little bit earlier than my appointment time. Dr Beckley was very welcoming, polite and immediately made me feel at ease. He explained everything very clearly and I left feeling like I had the right resolution.
