Laparoscopic (Keyhole) gallbladder and biliary surgery

I have a special interest in diseases of the gallbladder such as gallstones, gallbladder polyps and gallbladder dyskinesia and have a high volume practice in managing these conditions with experience in managing acute gallstone disease. I have performed more than 800 lap cholecystectomy I also manage bile duct stones and pancreatic pseudocysts laparoscopically.

Laparoscopic (Keyhole ) Groin hernia surgery

All patients with groin hernia regardless of symptoms should be offered a consultation as the long term outcome of early operation is better than wait and watch policy even in asymptomatic hernia according to recently published international guidelines. I have a special interest in performing laparoscopic groin hernia operations. I have been to Belgium to train and learn new approaches in robotic surgery in groin hernia .

Abdominal wall hernia and complex abdominal wall reconstruction ( Laparoscopic/Open)

I adopt a multidisciplinary team approach to complex abdominal wall reconstruction including both open and minimally invasive techniques. Abdominal wall hernia result in poor quality of life due to poor abdominal wall function and surgical treatment can offer a significant improvement in quality of life. I offer Laparoscopic and open approaches to management of abdominal wall hernia, incisional hernia, umbilical and paraumbilical hernia. I have learnt new approaches in robotic surgery in abdominal wall hernia repair and reconstruction at specialist centres in Belgium .
