I have recently had my prostate removed due to cancer. Mr Ameen explained everything to me in advance, good and bad. After surgery I recovered very well and was delighted that some of the things that I was warned about, were very quickly recovered from. Happy to say I am now cancer free and thank you to Mr Ameen and his team.
Mr Ameen is always very understanding of my side effect issues after the surgery. He takes his time to explain very clearly when answering questions I raise with him. I feel very lucky to have had Mr Ameen as my cancer surgeon, I had no pain post surgery, and the scarring has all healed well. The NHS are very fortunate to have such amazing doctors working for them, and so am I.
Although being cancelled from an earlier surgery date through unforeseen circumstances. The upmost was done to get my surgery ASAP. The after care was brilliant and information given for my recovery over the following weeks was great. Now 8 wks on I feel 80% to full recovery.
Would like to thank all of the NHS staff that have looked after me over the past few months, from initial consultation right through to my surgery and aftercare. I am truly grateful for all you expertise and compassion, you are all wonderful.
The advice and explanation of the procedure was Brilliant I felt the recovery was fully explained as well I was advised what I could do to help myself with the recovery I followed that advice and I'm a month ahead of expectations I feel the over all experience has been brilliant I'm cancer free and 10 weeks on back to normal life working and feeling able to do anything i would of before the operation just a few improvements still to come but working on them and feeling confident of a great outcome
A very pleasant person who explained everything clearly and if he didn't have an answer for my questions he said so.
