Mr Kenan Dehne is a professional, kind, and caring specialist who explains procedures clearly, reassuring patients from initial consultations to recovery. Patients report consistently excellent outcomes, finding relief from chronic pain and regaining significant mobility following total hip replacements, knee replacements, ACL reconstructions, and meniscus repairs. Many commend Mr Dehne’s expertise, feeling at ease, safe, and confident in his approach. This leads to quick recoveries, minimal scarring, and improved quality of life for patients. His surgical success with hip replacement, knee replacement, ACL reconstruction, and meniscal repair operations receives frequent praise.
I came in for a follow up appointment post surgery after having concerning pain ans locking in my knee. Dr Dehne asked numerous questions spoke extensively with me about what could have caused this and in turn what the next steps would be. He requested a check in appointment 6 weeks later to see how I was getting on and to determine whether further surgery was required. I appreciated that a rushed decision was not made and he was quite frank about what the issue could be and what this would mean going forward.
I had my second total knee replacement with Mr Kenan Dehne in Feb and have to say the results from his operations have exceeded all of my expectations . I consider myself very lucky to now walk pain free on my two new knees -all thanks to his surgeries My balance is much better than it was before the operations as I’m once again able to walk without any limping. I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking of undergoing the same surgery - based purely on my brilliant results . I was not the best candidate as I’m overweight and was very anxious about the surgery - having had a not so good experience following a hip replacement by a surgeon in Southmead hospital a few years earlier which had left me with a weird and painful knee on the same leg - evident every time I stood up or sat down - as what felt like a ligament /tendon or cartilage? would cause me sickening pain as it settled around my knee following any movement. Mr Dehne listened to my concerns and during my first knee replacement he was able to rectify the problem . My first total knee replacement was in Oct 2025 and then I had my second knee replacement at the end of February 2026 . I now walk normally with no pain or stiffness and feel a new lease of life - to say I feel happy about it is an understatement . I only wish he was able to operate on all the patients who need this surgery as they would no doubt feel as pleased post operatively as I do. Thank you so much Mr Kenan Dehne for everything.
I am an armed forces veteran, and like many due to service my joints had taken a battering. I had already had one knee replaced at a hospital in Peterborough. But the wait to get my failed hip replaced was well over a year. I used my right to choose after being recommended the Practice Plus Hospital in Birmingham and I was fortunate to have Mr Kenan Denhe allocated as my consultant surgeon. I had my initial consultation with him in August 25 and three weeks later I was admitted for hip replacement surgery, which went extremely well and my recovery was quick. I went back to see him post surgery in October and everything was good, he then listed me for my other knee replacement which he carried out in January 26. I am still recovering, but what a difference Mr Denhe has made to my quality of life, my pain level is practically zero and I am more mobile than I have been for many years. Mr Denhe is a true gentleman, he is professional in what he does, he is highly respected and has a superb bedside manner. I would recommend Mr Kenan Denhe to anyone, but especially to fellow veterans who are suffering joint pain from their service.
This is my second hip replacement with Mr Dehne. I felt so privileged to have the secure knowledge from my first operation that Mr Dehne is a fantastic surgeon, always open to questions & reassuring . I would highly recommend him without hesitation
I recently went through hip replacement surgery and the service I received was excellent. The hospital used (Practice plus), gave me superb hospitality and support throughout and the surgery was of the highest standard. The surgery with Mr Dehne went better than I had anticipated with the results so far, being outstanding with my pain almost totally gone.
Very friendly approach that helped put me at ease for the procedure.
I had ACL reconstruction with Patella tendon graft (BTB) under Mr Dehne. I am a semi-professional football player so returning to football is a must for me and I'm so pleased with my outcome. Before coming across Mr Dehne I had a disappointing encounter with a different consultant elsewhere who was rather negative and mentioned that it would be difficult to find someone who would do the BTB graft. However after some digging I found Mr Dehne who had already great reviews which filled me with confidence. As predicted Mr Dehne has done an incredible job, the wound is very neat, he is so reassuring during the whole process, extremely thorough and professional so I very much reccommend him!
The full process was extremly professional, informative and supportive of recovery. Mr Dehne showed a personable and professional approach giving real life advice and guidance.
From start to finish, the whole experience and final surgery procedure was absolutely fantastic. All staff and especially Mr Dehnes professionalism and skills was outstanding. I would highly recommend Mr Dehne and the current Hospital to anyone in the future. Many thanks for your care and support. Kind regards
I work alongside an amazing orthopaedic colleague who is consistently driven by quality improvement. They demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, and continuous learning.
