I had a very positive experience and truly appreciated how well organised all departments were. The staff across the hospital were consistently helpful, professional, caring, and welcoming during every visit. Everything was handled efficiently and in a timely manner, which gave me confidence and reassurance throughout my treatment. However, there was one aspect of my experience that left me feeling uncomfortable, and I would like to share this feedback constructively. My husband and I met with “nurse” Perry during my pre-surgery appointment (28th April 2026, around 11am), where she was responsible for reviewing my medical history and explaining the preparation and post-surgery process. While she appeared knowledgeable and confident in her role, I felt that her communication style lacked empathy and basic courtesy. At the beginning of the session she was very rude to her colleague, this was in front of us in her office. This was already showing signs of unprofessionalism. This followed with the review of my medical information on the screen very quickly, making it difficult for me to follow, then we had to ask her to repeat the information more slowly. She took this badly and it clearly annoyed her. At one point, when I asked her to repeat a question that I did not fully understand, she told me to “talk to your husband” and asked him to explain things to me in my own language (Thai). Which my husband doesn’t speak Thai. This made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected, especially that I can speak english fluently. It gave me the impression that my ability to communicate was being dismissed rather than supported. Throughout the appointment, her tone and manner made me feel anxious and uneasy. Instead of feeling reassured before surgery, I left feeling more nervous and concerned. I understand that healthcare professionals often work under pressure, but I believe that clear communication, kindness, and empathy are especially important when patients are already feeling vulnerable. I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration to help improve the patient experience in the future.

Our coordinator, Aman, was exceptional. She was available to us at all times via phone amd texts to answer with honesty and patience all our questions and concerns. She was excellent on both a medical and emotional level amd she has made the whole experience very special for us. She constantly gave advice and help on decisions about which treatment plan was best for us. Once we arrived in Cyprus, Aman made everything seemless in terms of pickups from airport and all hospital appointments were made with ease as driver was arranged and there was never any wait time, either for driver or appointments. Aman met us at reception or downstairs when needed and was a huge emotional support. I cannot thank the clinic, in particular, Aman for the constant source of support on our journey. The doctors performing precedures were all so friendly and positive too. Thank you all so so much. And a very personal thank you to Aman. She is truly wonderful and saying goodbye today felt like saying goodbye to a friend. Upon arriving home the support and attention has continued. If there is any blood work or tests needed Aman and the team tells us what to get and interpret results for us, amending medication and prescriptions and needed. The coordination between the clinic and GP / pharmacies at home is seamless and made very easy by the team as they provide whatever the home GP or pharmacy needs. We are now 8 weeks pregnant and just had a healthy scan and all looks great.! On our way to the scan I got a message from Aman to check the time of the appointment and to wish us luck in our scan which is fitting with the continued attention and aftercare we have gotten since we came home. She has been there for any questions and concerns in the difficult 2 week waiting waiting time and was genuinely so happy for us when we got our good news. We are absolutely over the moon and the whole experience has been so positive and supoorted by the wonderful team and our very special and dedicated coordinator Aman. Thank you so so much.

This was my second time delivering at The Portland Hospital, and overall, I’ve once again had a very positive experience. The doctors, midwives, and wider staff are consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, which makes such an important time feel safe and well supported. Throughout my stay, I felt that both my baby and I were in capable hands. The environment is calm, professional, and reassuring, and the level of care from the majority of the team truly reflects the hospital’s strong reputation. However, there was one unfortunate incident that I feel is important to highlight. On one occasion, I was under the care of a student midwife. While I completely understand and respect that everyone has to learn, the experience was not handled as well as it should have been. During her care, she removed my cannula which resulted in blood dripping excessively, and then proceeded to take my blood pressure from the same arm, causing further bleeding through the dressing. This led to unnecessary discomfort and concern. What was particularly worrying was that she attributed her mistakes to it being lunchtime and not having eaten, which didn’t feel like an appropriate or reassuring explanation given the situation. Aside from this isolated incident, my experience at The Portland Hospital has been very good. The overall standard of care, professionalism, and kindness from the majority of the staff is excellent, and it remains a place I would recommend for maternity care. I also want to extend an extra thank you to Miriam who was very helpful, caring and supportive, she called me after we’ve been discharged to ensure my daughter was doing well from her jaundice. Also, special thank you to Francesca, Florence and Davina for making my stay extra special and comfortable.

want to express my deepest gratitude to the team at Nuffield Health Hospital for the exceptional care I received during my spinal nerve root block injections. From admission to discharge, the entire process was seamless. My medical journey began earlier this year and I am incredibly grateful to you Mr. Sundaram — it is thanks to your expert advice (not to mention your steady hands) that I am now recovering comfortably at home, my journey is not over yet but I know that I am on the right track with the best consultant monitoring my recovery along with self management . Every single staff member I encountered was second to none, including the secretaries, the Imaging Team, the ward nurses, the theatre staff, the lovely lady who served my lunch, and the domestic team keeping the facility spotlessly clean. An extremely important thing to me that I must mention is that everyone smiled, this is the best medicine on a hospital shelf! While I know not everyone has easy access to private healthcare, investing in an initial consultation or MRI scan / X-ray here is worth every penny. Our health is our most valuable asset, and the care at Nuffield truly reflects that. It is a profound thing to place my life in the hands of someone I don’t know and trust doesn't happen overnight, but through your honest and direct approach during our consultations, you earned mine completely. Thank you.

I cannot recommend Dr. Nikolic highly enough for his clinical precision and consummate professionalism. Dealing with a complex C5/6 disc injury for the last three months, I found his approach to be incredibly refreshing and reassuring. Unlike many consultants, Dr. Nikolic is deeply data-oriented; he prioritizes objective baselines and structured feedback—often requiring concise, numerical, or short-worded responses—to ensure his assessments are as clinical and accurate as possible. While this may seem less "friendly," that is not at all the case. It allows him to clearly, clinically, and objectively measure progress which he deeply cares about. What stands out most about working with Dr. Nikolic is his integrity regarding intervention. He possesses a clear desire to avoid unnecessary procedures (a rarity, in my experience) only recommending treatment when the data and physical progress (or lack thereof) make it a mechanical necessity. His instructions are clear, his logic is transparent, and he treats the patient as a partner in a high-stakes recovery process. If you are looking for a spinal pain management specialist who values objective truth over ad-hoc narration, Dr. Nikolic is the gold standard. I thoroughly recommend him.

I cannot recommend Mr Anderson and LASE Cosmetic enough. From my very first consultation through to my 6-week check-up, the care I received was exceptional. Every member of staff was professional, friendly, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. No question ever felt like a silly question, and I always felt listened to, reassured, and well informed. I recently attended a breast measurement appointment, and the specialist asked who my surgeon was because she was so impressed with how natural and proportionate my results looked. She commented on how sympathetic the surgery was to my body shape and size, which was wonderful to hear and reflects exactly what I wanted to achieve. The aftercare has been outstanding and continues even now, with support provided up to six months after surgery. Knowing that help and advice are always available has made such a difference to my recovery and overall experience. Most importantly, my breast augmentation has had a hugely positive impact on my confidence and quality of life. I am absolutely delighted with my results and so grateful to Mr Anderson and the entire team at LASE Cosmetic for their expertise, care, and professionalism.

I will be taking away so many tools to help with my recovery and my mindset has been completely turned around. I will leave with such a positive outlook on my future thanks to all the incredible staff here. A special thanks to my amazing counsellor Joanna, all the nursing and liaison team were incredibly caring, supportive and so personable to all the residents, on hand 24/7 when you need them most. Every single member of those teams are an incredible asset to Delamere so I needn’t name them all. Adam in particular was such an amazing person to have had lead the group sessions. I always took away really important messages and tools from him. Also a thanks to Sara for the two hours she spent on the phone to me before coming into Delemere to reassure me of the processes, therapy, care etc here at Delemere, and Sam too for always being on hand to help and support me. I feel really privileged to of been able to come here and leave with such a positive outlook on my future. Thanks again to all the team here.

I have been seeing Mr Jeffrey Braithwaite for 6 years and have found him to be an expert in his field and has always made me feel comfortable and assured - even when the news is not so great. Mr Braithwaite first diagnosed my endometriosis, when both the NHS and another private consultant could not! Actually, they had advised me nothing was wrong and was ready to leave me as I was - which would've had devastating effects. As such, I am so glad I found Mr Braithwaite! He performed a successful operation and after care, as such my endometriosis has not returned. He also advised me comfortably of when and where to freeze my eggs - which was successful and has give me so much peace of mind. I am very thankful to Jeffrey for all of this. Mr Braithwaite's team are also friendly, professional and ready to help with any questions too. Mr Braithwaite has always made me feel comfortable and always given the time needed to answer questions and concerns. He does not rush you in and out, and ensures to talk you through your scans, results and options thoroughly. I cannot praise Mr Braithwaite enough and highly recommend him!

I arrived at 12:30, was initially seen after 1pm for the nurse checks, then quickly by Dr Khafaga who was really polite and friendly, he answered my questions and checked my understanding. He was able to reassure any concerns and approximate what time my procedure might be. Prior to the procedure the team highlighted that their carbon copy of my consent form didn’t have the required information so completed this in my presence and checked with me for accuracy. During the procedure the team were very attentive to my needs, Dr Khafaga talked me through the procedure and prepared me for the next steps. I did experience pain due to the procedure which was to be expected and the staff distracted me to help me through the process. After the procedure, the recovery staff were also very friendly, took the time to help me with a concern I had and ensured that I was ok to be discharged completing all the relevant paperwork. I left at 17:20

I was treated for an inguinal hernia and had an excellent experience from start to finish. My care included an initial consultation, a CT scan, a follow‑up appointment to discuss the results and treatment options, the surgery itself, and a final check‑up around ten days later. Mr El-Hasani took the time to explain every option clearly and provided helpful written information to review at home. The keyhole procedure was carried out with great skill: I had minimal pain after the operation and no discomfort from the next day onwards. I experienced no swelling, no infection, and no side effects. I found Mr El-Hasani to be highly professional, knowledgeable, and reassuring throughout the entire process. I’m very grateful for the care I received and would confidently recommend Mr El-Hasani to others.

My visit on27 March to Kingsbridge was a very good experience. I wasn’t kept waiting and the staff were all very efficient and friendly. I had my own separate room where staff introduced themselves and stated what their step was and quickly carried out each procedure. Mr Chan worked on my eye when it was frozen with the operation taking about 15 minutes. There was no pain as my eye was frozen. I was given all the medication I needed home with me and The following day I was able to put the drops in my eye myself. On 1st day my eye fell a bit gritty but cleared that day and My eye has no problem. Vision is extremely good and I hope to have my second eye done in-the future. I was nervous attending but the clinic was spotless and staff caring and put you at ease.

I’ve had 3 appointments so far. (And years of Gynae NHS appointments, to no avail). Within my first appointment Dr Singh was pretty sure it could be Adenomyosis (which had never been mentioned to me in all the time of my gynae appts) and recommend a scan with Dr Balogun - absolutely lovely lady, extremely professional and knowledgeable. I was found to have Adenomyosis. Which explains why I’ve had so many treatment failures and a lot of my symptoms. I have now been put onto a new pill due to my diagnosis, had I not come, I would never have known and always told “it’s just you” “there’s nothing wrong”. Thank you both Dr Singh and Dr Balogun for proving that I was not going crazy this whole time. There is a reason people come from all around the world to here!

I was fortunate to get a cancellation appointment for my hip replacement, which reduced my wait time from an estimated 12 weeks to 4. On the day of the operation I arrived at the appointed time and was soon in the theatre, which is refreshingly chilly, getting my spinal block. My next memory was awaking in a pleasant room with a view of the forest. There was then a period of lots of checks, medication and plenty of care. I was fit to leave the following afternoon, having passed the relevant checks, with advice and further medication. My impression is of a dedicated team of professionals who work together to deliver exceptional results in a great environment. The Horder centre has a superb reputation, which in my experience is totally justified.
